Felt Safety: Between

Have you ever reached out to someone in a time of need, only to have them respond in a way that made you feel rejected or judged?

When we think about our interactions with our children, do they feel safe coming to you with what is on their mind? Do you have consistent and predictable reactions with them? All of these things are critical to our children having felt safety in their relationships.

Many children have an excellent read in the adults in their lives in terms of how they are feeling, how they might react, and whether or not they are safe in that moment. Sometimes this relational safety has been broken because of either our own trauma, or the trauma of our children. It is not too late to create relational safety with your child! Message me if you are interested in working together to build that relationship.
