Curiosity is the key to connecting with your child. Ask great questions and make sure that they answer to the question is not Yes or No because that is the answer that you will get from them for sure! Start your questions with these words: Who? What? Where? Why? How? Using this starter words will give you better questions that will lead to conversation. Keep this time free of judgement and teaching! Just use the time to understand your child better. They will feel more heard when you continue to ask more questions. Use empathy to show them you are listening and you care about what they have to say!
